2019 Pulse Music Video Awards Winners list

This years Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVA) , was held at Standard Group Offices in Mombasa road and the show had promised to be the best.
The annual award event is known to  celebrate  Kenya’s most renowed vixens, video directors , dance choreographers, artists among others who have come, with high hopes to at least take one award home.
The event was live on KTN stations including KTN home and KTN Burudani TV from 2130 hours.
Below are the categories and the winners from each of the categories:


1.Video Vixen of the year.  
The category's purpose is to appreciate the role played by female video vixens in music videos.
Those nominated  were Laquina, from Arrow Bwoy's  Ngeta song, Joisi J from Masauti's Isokote song ,Becky from Thutha of Ochungulo family and Munira from Masauti's Dondosha's song.
The winner was Becky from Ochungulo's Thutha hit song.

2.Male Video of the Year
The songs nominated were, Usipime Mwanaume - Naiboi,  Jango Love - Arrow Bwoy, Leave Me Alone - Khaligraph Jones,
Samantha - Otile Brown,  where Khaligraph Jone's leave me alone video took home the trophy being Kenya's best male music video of the year.

3.Female Video of The Year
The songs nominated in this category were, Steam - Fena Gitu, Radio Love- Nadia , Kitoko "Beautifull” - Avril  and Rollam - Akothee where the winner emerged to be Nadia's Radio Love featuring Arrow Bwoy.

4.New Artist of The Year
The category was meant to appreciate the new artist in the music scene. Those nominated were  Zimenice Chris Kaiga,
Sham Sham- Ivlyn Mutua, Spicy Vallerie Muthoni and Pombe Sigara Nviiri the story teller. The winner was Nviiri The Storyteller who has been progressing well musically with his biggest feature collabo with the Sol Generation, Extravaganza.

5.Best Collaboration of The Year
The songs nominated were Sondeka Part 2 - Naiboi ft Ex Ray,  Kiboko Remix - Masauti ft Khaligraph, Wakiritho - Octopizzo ft Sailors, and Extravaganza- Sauti Soul ft Bensoul,Nviiri  where Sailor's feature song Wakiritho featuring Octopizzo became the best in the category.

6.New Wave Video of The Year
The category's nominated songs included Wabebe - Gwaash,  Mboko Haram -Boondocks Gang, Wainame- Sailors Gang and  Chupa ku chupa - The only Delo where Sailors Wainame hit song won in the category.

7.Best Breakthrough Video of The Year
Those nominated were Zimenishika- Zzero Sufuri , Kiboko - Masauti, Favorite Song- Bensoul and Ring - Kalechi Africana. The best was Zzero Sufuri's zimenishika hit song.

8.Best Group Video of The Year
Those that were nominated in the category were;Pekejeng- Sailors, Na Iwake- Ochunglo Family,  Chapa Chapa- Ethics and  Bad Manners- Hart The Band ft Victoria Kimani. The best  video was pekejeng of Sailors Gang.

9.Video Director of The Year
Those nominated were Usipime- Naiboi Director-Vjone,
Sokote-Masauti Director-Nezzo Montanna,
Steam-Fena Director-Enos Olick
and Radio Love-Nadia Director-Ricky Bekko which emerged to be the best.

10.Viewer’s Choice of The Year
Those nominated were ,Wamlambez Sailors  Accelerator Kansoul & Vivian,  Mmmh-Willy Paul  and Pandana Ethic. The best was Wamlambez of Sailors Gang.

11.Gospel Video of The Year
Those nominated were Pekee Yangu Moji Short Baba, Nibariki Guardian Angel , Yela Kabisa Timeless Noel and
Celebrate Evelyne Wanjiru.  The best gospel vdeo of the year was Moji Shot Baba's Pekee Yangu.

Sailors Gang took home four of the eleven awards. They won in all the categories they were nominated for.
